Basic Stir Fry Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 1/ 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1/ 8 tsp Tabasco
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/ 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1/ 2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp rice wine or sherry
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/ 2 tsp pressed ginger
- 1/ 2 tsp salt
- 1/ 4 tsp pepper
- 1 1/ 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 1/ 2 tsp lemon or lime juice
Directions
- Heat sesame oil in saucepan.
- Add ginger and garlic fry for 20-30 secs.
- Add soy sauce, brown sugar, chicken broth, salt and pepper, lemon juice and Tabasco.
- Bring to the boil and stir.
- Add the cornstarch to the wine mix thoroughly and whisk into the sauce.
- Heat the sauce until it reaches a boil and starts to thicken.
- Simmer for 30 secs and remove.
Use or store the sauce in a refrigerator.
