Chinese Stir Fry

  • 1.5kg boned, skinned chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 peeled and sliced onion
  • 4-6 thinly sliced carrots
  • 1/2 cauliflower
  • 1 bunch broccoli flowerets
  • 3-4 thinly sliced celery stalks
  • 15 snow peas or sugar peas
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 can bamboo shoots
  • 8-10 sliced mushrooms
  • Bean sprouts
  • Ginger
  • Pepper
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Soy sauce
  • Chow mein noodles


Directions

  • Heat Stir-fry pan/wok and add butter.
  • Add onion, garlic and celery and sauté until tender.
  • Add chicken and allow to cook thoroughly.
  • Add carrots and cook for 3-4 mins.
  • Add cauliflower, mushroom, peas and broccoli cook for 3-4 mins.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, add salt, pepper and soy sauce to taste, and simmer for a further 3-4 mins.
  • Serve with rice or noodles.
