Beef Stir Fry
Serves 4-6
Ingredients
- 0.5kg boneless top beef sirloin steak.
- 4 cups fresh vegetables (broccoli florets, sugar peas, bell peppers, carrots).
- 1/2 cup stir-fry sauce pre-prepared (sesame/ginger would be ideal).
- 1/8 to 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper.
- 1 garlic clove chopped/pressed.
- 2 tbsp unsalted dry-roasted peanuts crushed.
- 3 cups hot cooked rice.
Directions
- Chop the beef into thin strips about 1 inch in length.
- Chop and dice the vegetables.
- Add vegetables and 3 tbsp of water into stir-fry pan/wok, cook on medium to high heat for 4 mins then remove.
- Add the beef and garlic to the same pan and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until the outside of the beef is browned
- Return the vegetables to the pan. Add stir-fry sauce and red pepper and heat thoroughly. Add half of the crushed peanuts.
- Spoon over rice/noodles. Sprinkle the remaining peanuts over the food, and serve.
